Jacob’s background spans functions and organizations across the healthcare landscape. He has a solid foundation in the business of healthcare from his experience in revenue cycle management, business development, healthcare delivery redesign, and enterprise analytics. He understands the intricacies of alternative payment models and the ins and outs of contracting and reimbursement—both providers and payors value his expertise as they navigate today’s dynamic environment of care delivery and reimbursement.
At ECG, Jacob has been involved in an engagement for the formation of a statewide and regional clinically integrated network with four major health systems and a national payor. He has been able to use his expertise in payor analytics and play a pivotal role on the team by creating a financial model to project the network’s performance. Previously, Jacob was a part of the enterprise analytics division at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina. In his role as a clinical informatics analyst, he led the team responsible for a multibillion-dollar, data-driven contract negotiation with the organization’s largest provider partner.
